Jupiter Meets Saturn: A Magical January 2026 Guide

The Great Convergence: Jupiter Meets Saturn

Let’s get into the nitty-gritty of why this date is so special. In ceremonial magic, time isn’t just a clock ticking; it’s a flavor.

January 1, 2026, is a Thursday, which means the day is ruled by Jupiter. Jupiter is the big guy—the planet of expansion, wealth, religion, and philosophy. It’s all about “more is more.” However, January is firmly in the grip of Capricorn (ruled by Saturn) and the season of Winter.

In the Solomonic tradition, Winter is a time of binding and grounding. So, we have Jupiter trying to expand and Saturn trying to restrict and structure. This isn’t a bad thing! It means the magic you do today has the potential for massive, structured growth. We aren’t just manifesting a $20 bill on the sidewalk; we are manifesting a career path, a business loan, or a long-term investment.

The Roll Call: Who to Invoke

If you are doing ritual work today, you need to know who is picking up the phone. Because it’s a Thursday in Winter, the hierarchy is very specific.

The Thursday Squad (Jupiter):

  • Archangel: Sachiel (The big boss of Thursday).
  • Planetary Intelligence: Iophiel (Great for talismans).
  • Olympic Spirit: Bethor (Lord of Jupiter—he grants high dignities).
  • The Demon: Silcharde. Now, Grimorium Verum practitioners know Silcharde is the one to call for happiness and discovering treasures, but he has strict office hours: 3:00 AM to 4:00 AM. (Set your alarms, witches).

The Winter Crew:

  • Ruling Angels: Amabael and Ctarari.
  • Earth Name: Geremiah.
  • Demon of the Month: Belial. Yes, that Belial. He is specifically associated with January, adding a heavy, earthy, and sometimes ruthless energy to the month.

The Goetic Calendar: January 2026

If you miss the window on New Year’s Day, don’t worry. The Goetic spirits govern specific dates throughout the month. Here is your summoning schedule for January:

  • Jan 1–5 (Ose): Great for transformation and shaping how others perceive you (or delusions, so be careful).
  • Jan 6–10 (Amy): Excellent for learning astrology and finding treasures kept by spirits.
  • Jan 11–15 (Orias): Need a favor from a boss or an enemy? Orias grants honors and favors.
  • Jan 16–19 (Vapula): The student’s best friend. Call Vapula for help with philosophy, mechanics, or passing tests.
  • Jan 20–24 (Zagan): The alchemist. He turns water into wine (metaphorically, usually) and makes you witty.
  • Jan 25–29 (Volac): Finds hidden things—and snakes. (Literal or figurative snakes, take your pick).
  • Jan 30–Feb 3 (Andras): WARNING. Andras is a spirit of discord and conflict used to overthrow enemies. He is volatile. Do not work with him unless you know exactly what you are doing.

Practical Magic for the Modern Witch

Okay, maybe you aren’t ready to summon a Duke of Hell in your living room. I get it. Here are two simpler operations recommended for this specific planetary alignment:

1. The “Balloon Magick” Release

This is a modern tech-witch vibe. Write your wish on a piece of parchment. Color-code your balloon to your desire (Green for that Jupiter money, Red for love/Mars energy). Attach the wish and release it at midnight. It symbolizes the element of Air, which governs the Thursday spirits like Suth, Maguth, and Gutrix.

2. Fireplace Manifestation

If you want to lean into the Winter/Hearth vibe:

  • Write your wish on red paper.
  • Anoint it with Heliotrope oil and dried Basil (a Jupiter herb!).
  • Toss it into a fire.
  • As it burns, the energy is released to the spirits of the Air and Fire.

The Shift: Capricorn to Aquarius

One final note: The vibe shifts midway through the month. Until January 20th, we are in Capricorn (Earth) territory—focus on career, status, and rules. After the 20th, we move into Aquarius (Air). The energy becomes more rebellious, focused on technology, independence, and breaking bad habits. Plan your rituals accordingly!
