Liber 777: Your Guide to Magickal Correspondences

Building on our initial overview, let’s pull back the curtain on the two most technical parts of the infographic: the Tree of Life and the Archangelic Correspondences.

In the world of the occult, these aren’t just pretty pictures—they are “spiritual software.” They are used to program the mind and the environment for a specific outcome.

The Tree of Life: A Map of Your Consciousness

The “Grand Unified System” in the center is the Kabbalistic Tree of Life. Think of it as a circuit board for the soul. It consists of 10 spheres, called Sephirot, connected by 22 paths.

The Three Pillars

  • The Pillar of Severity (Left): Represented by the color red and the element of Fire. It is about discipline, boundaries, and “Gevurah” (Strength). This is why the ritual on the left of your graphic emphasizes “Hierarchical Forces” and “Communing with Fire”—it’s about asserting your will.
  • The Pillar of Mercy (Right): Associated with expansion, water, and infinite love. It’s the “yes” to Severity’s “no.”
  • The Pillar of Equilibrium (Center): This is the path of the initiate. It balances the two extremes to reach the “Crown” (Keter) at the top.

The “Step-Down” Effect

As mentioned in the “Liber 777” example, the Tree explains how divine energy “steps down” from the infinite into the physical. By the time it reaches the bottom sphere (Malkuth), it has become the physical world we touch and see.

Archangels: The Elemental Guardians

The table in the bottom-left corner is a “Micro-Example” of Liber 777, a famous book of correspondences compiled by Aleister Crowley. In ceremonial magick, archangels are viewed as the “Princes” or directors of specific natural laws.

Michael (The Fire Prince)

His name means “Who is like God?” In the infographic, he is shown with a sword and fire. In a ritual, a practitioner invokes Michael when they need courage, protection, or the “heat” to transform a situation. This is why he is the face of “Constructing Sacred Realities”—building something requires the burning energy of creation.

Gabriel (The Water Messenger)

His name means “Strength of God.” Gabriel is the angel of the subconscious, dreams, and the moon. While Michael is about the external “sword,” Gabriel is about the internal “mirror.” Magicians use Gabriel’s energy for scrying (crystal-gazing) and understanding the deep, fluid mysteries of the mind.

Why “Liber 777” Matters

The chart mentions a “Data Micro-Example.” In occult practice, “777” is the ultimate dictionary. If you want to perform a ritual for “Success,” you look up that row and it tells you:

  • The Color: Orange
  • The Incense: Storax
  • The Archangel: Raphael
  • The Gemstone: Opal

By surrounding yourself with these specific items, you are effectively “tuning” your brain to a specific frequency—much like a radio tuning to a station.

The Rebel’s Counterpoint

It is interesting to note that while the Archangels represent the “Blueprints” of the divine order, the Lilith figure on the right represents the rejection of those very structures. The infographic creates a perfect tension between The System (using Michael to build) and The Rebel (using Lilith to break free).
